In the early morning hours of February 9, 2017, Dale Luett, the West Sound area Director of Emergency Services for 1-800-BOARDUP, arrived with his crew at a hotel fire in Kingston, on Washington’s Puget Sound. Under an intense driving rain, his team began framing temporary doorways and walls, while fire officials searched for evidence in scorched hotel rooms. Bremerton Fire Marshal Mike Six said “Having 1-800-BOARDUP on hand to secure structures and assist victims is a valuable service. Dale and his team have just the right touch to deal with these folks in a really tough time.”
Kudos to 1-800-BOARDUP of Seattle / Olympic Peninsula, owned by David Omli, with offices in Bremerton and Seattle. Rod Heivilin, 1-800-BOARDUP Director of Emergency Services and retired Shoreline Firefighter, oversees 1-800-BOARDUP’s work in the region and trains crews in how to work effectively with first responders.
